PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The City of Lebanon employed our firm to prepare preliminary and final plans, specifications, and estimates for the improvement of a 1,030 L.F. portion of Dee Street. This City street is primarily residential but also serves to carry local traffic to area schools and churches. The project was funded with Community Development Block Grant Funds as administered by the St. Clair County Intergovernmental Grants Department. The construction was undertaken in two phases as two separate grants were used to fund the project. Drainage was improved by the use of storm sewer to replace open ditches. The work included storm sewer, concrete integral curb and gutter, aggregate base course widening, surface repair, driveway repair and sidewalk. The City of Lebanon provided the aggregate base materials, sidewalk removals and an A-3 surface as their project cost match for the grants. Our firm was also retained to perform the construction services including construction staking, materials testing, construction observation and contract administration.
