PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The State of Illinois Capital Development Board
employed our firm to prepare preliminary and final plans, specifications, and
estimates for the construction of various improvements within the Kaskaskia
River Fish and Wildlife Area. The Using Agency for the project was the Illinois
Department of Natural Resources. The improvements included in the project were
located at several sites along the Kaskaskia River and at Baldwin Lake.
Construction work included concrete block pit privies, concrete sidewalks and
walking trails, wooden observation platforms, wooden decks, wooden fishing
piers, floating docks, parking lot paving and appurtenant site work. Our firm
was also retained to perform full construction services including staking,
construction observation, materials testing and construction contract
administration.
