PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The City of Salem employed our firm to prepare preliminary and final plans, specifications, and estimates for the reconstruction of a portion of Hawthorn Road. This city street serves schools, churches, medical facilities, and residential areas. A PCC street with integral curb and gutter replaced the original oil and chip street. Drainage was improved by the use of storm sewer to replace open ditches. Our firm was also retained to perform the project's resident engineering services during construction.
